Bagging Scotland paid a visit to The Lochside Hotel/Duffies Bar in Bowmore, Islay. If you like malts, in particular Islay malts, this is definitely the spot for you.

Duffies Bar - In The Bag

The bar isn’t a cornucopia of all malts from all over Scotland but rather, it specialises it highlighting the best from all the Islay distilleries. Their beautiful polished wooden bar features everyday drams, right through to rather special ones, where an aperitif drink for you and your three chums would set you back a thousand quid!

On a nice summer’s day, as you sit in their beer (or should that be whisky) garden, or their conservatory restaurant, overlooking Bowmore Harbour, there are a lot worse places to be.
