Darren Rook from Master of Malt joined Bagging Scotland in the Baggin’ Waggon while at Feis Ile, The Islay Music and Whisky Festival. He knows a ridiculous amount about whisky and he’s not even thirty!

Darren Rook of Master of Malt joins Bagging Scotland in the Baggin Waggon

Beards In the Waggon

As we travel around Scotland The Baggin’ Waggon is going to be host to a number of interesting and expert people and one of the first in it was Darren Rook. As we were at Islay, which is Malt Whisky central, it was fitting we spoke to a bloke who really knows his malts. Darren’s a Geordie and one of a number of knowledgable people from South of the Border in UK and is a key Member of the Master of Malt team. The video tells you more but basically he’s telling us all about ‘drinks by the dram. Basically a bit like domestic paint samplers but for fine (some of them are bloody fine) malt whiskies. A lot more glamorous than choosing emulsion for the kitchen!

The great news is that Darren’s given us a number of ‘drinks by the dram’ and we’re in the process of figuring-out just exactly how we can share these with some lucky baggers! More on this, soon!
