Whisky Futures

Andy’s not an Islander of any kind, he actually ‘hails’ frae Falkirk in the Central Belt of Scotland but we invited him into the Baggin’ Waggon for a reason, Whisky Futures.

It’s a fascinating concept. A few years ago, when the guys at Bruichladdich were looking for a few quid to finance the grand scheme of things, they were selling-off the odd hogshead, to enterprising individuals, or in Andy’s case, synicates, for them to lay down for a few years.

The lucky few who took advantage of ‘The Laddie’s’ situation are now in a position where they can now bottle their OWN whisky. If they’ve been clever and they make a bit of an effort with the bottling (Andy’s getting renowned whisky Artist and good pal of Bagging Scotland, Mr Ian Gray to do the artwork for his label) you can create something unique, valuable  and desirable.

Check the video for the exact details on the exact Bruichladdich elixir which is contained within Andy’s bespoke bottling but suffice to say, even if it doesn’t make you rich, who wouldn’t want to bottle their own exquisite dram?
