Tourism gets the 6th Degree

December 6, 2010 in Bagging Scotland News, Interviews, Scottish Events by Bagging Scotland

Earlier on in the Summer, we were asked by those wonderful guys at 6 Degrees Networking if we’d like to use their great networking platform to give our frank views on the state of Scottish Tourism. Basically, if we had our way to sort things out, what we’d change about Scotland’s way of working.

On a wonderful hot sunny day in Glasgow’s Princes Square, we delivered a presentation to their select audience of opinion-formers. As the 6 Degrees guys kindly filmed the presentation, we thought we’d share it with you.

We find that using ‘Networking’ platforms can be a great way of ‘spreading the word’ and when we met Chris and Stephen from 6 Networking, it was clear that they understood ‘modern’ media methods. As avid users of dynamic websites and all the social media the fact that they combine this by actively encouraging  people to meet up ‘in the flesh’ really appealed to us. The fact that they’re nice guys also didn’t do any harm.

Have a listen to our thoughts here and hopefully, some of them will resonate with you. We’re always keen to spread the word about Bagging Scotland, so if you’d like us to speak at your event, or help your tourism organisation be more ‘vocal’ we’d be delighted to help you out. Contact Victor (victor@bagging-scotland.com) and he will tell you more.
