Nessie Hunting in Style

Hebridean Bagging Odyssey

We’re in the middle of what’s turned out to be an amazing trip to the Western Isles. The weather has been mixed but it’s been quite special – mainly because of the diversity of where we’ve been; the oldest rocks in the world on the Isle of Harris, the outmoded Sunday close-down in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, and the incredible, one-off experience that is St Kilda.

Monty Python fans from all over the world are preparing to make a special pilgrimage to Doune Castle for the 35th anniversary of one of our favourite, cult comedy films, ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’. The bit where John Cleese plays a rude Frenchman and suggests: “I don’t want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough water! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Now leave before I am forced to taunt you a second time!”, it’s comedy gold. Magic!
