Nothing beats waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and seeing the beautiful view of the sun sparkling off the water, and also the sparkle of the ice lying against the hills. I’ve lived in Scotland all my live and what a amazing country it is, nearly everything about it is beautiful. Even if sometimes the weather isn’t the best, the scenery and the mountains are unbelievable, especially skiing down Ben Nevis on a winter’s day. When you watch the sun-set over a bit of scenery it is something special.

Surprisingly the golf course like St. Andrews golf course is spectacular and one of the best courses in the world. A lot of the courses in Scotland are hard because Scotland is really hilly. Football is also a really big sport in Scotland and there is a really big rivalry between Rangers and Celtic . The Scottish national team is certainly not the best as you have probably seen. Rugby is quite a big sport as well, but I don’t really know anything about the sport but it sounds alright.

The weather in Scotland might not be the best, but it makes the skiing and snowboarding great since the snow is really deep in the mountains. Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland and it’s a great feeling snowboarding down it and knowing it’s the biggest in Scotland. You can ski down some of the other mountains in Scotland as well. Mountains like Ben Lomond , Ben Moore and Ben Vane you can hike up and ski down some of them.

The music Festivals are very popular in Scotland like T in the Park which is great and all the top musicians in the world play. Rock Ness is like a smaller T in the Park and there are some Scottish bands playing . Also there are big musicians playing as well.

The Scottish food is fantastic , like Irn Bru which is so tasty and whisky is great (not that I would know). The food is great and tasty like haggis, Scotch pie, short bread, bread, cheese and many, many more . The drinks are unbelievable, whisky is a very big over here and a lot of people drink it (but mostly older people).

In Scotland we have a lot of famous inventors like James Watt, who invented steam engine; William Murdoch who invented gas lighting; Charles MacIntosh, who invented the raincoat and many more. We Scots should be proud of them, well we are proud!

There are a lot of famous Landmarks like the Falkirk Wheel, the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral, the Cathedral Dundas, Loch Ness and many more.  Glasgow Cathedral, also known as St Mungo’s Cathedral, stands on sacred grounds dating to 500 ad.

So really Scotland is a great and beautiful country and if you want a good holiday with relaxation, but adventure come to Scotland!
