I don’t know where to start, to explain the fantastic country called Scotland. It’s the best country in the world. I will be talking about five features of Scotland. The features I have picked are famous land marks, drinks, sports, mountains and music. These features are not all the amazing things about Scotland, there are so many more.
One of the greatest features about Scotland is our famous landmarks. They are magnificent to visit and a great day out for all ages. There are all different types of trips. Some are relaxing, adventurous, and much more. All are exciting and a great way to have an opportunity to get to know our fantastic country. Scotland is a beautiful country. Some of the landmarks have been around for many years and have a great history. A lot of the landmarks don’t cost much money, but some for example, Edinburgh Castle the cost for an adult is £14.00 and a child is £8.20.
Scotland has many drinks that we like such as our national drink ‘Irn Bru’. It is made by Barr and it’s phenomenal! It costs between 35p and 75p. Other drinks we like are not Scottish (Coca Cola, Fanta, Lemonade and Cream Soda) but Irn Bru is my favourite drink of all time, it’s amazing.
Scotland takes part in many different sports, which include golf, rugby, football and much more. Scotland has world class golf courses, so it’s a fantastic place to come on holiday to play golf. Scottish people are the creators of football so it’s a pretty good place for football lovers to come and learn about the history of football. Scotland is by far the best country in the world to come and visit.
Scotland has the highest mountain in Great Britain, Ben Nevis. Scotland is a fantastic country to go hill walking/climbing, and there are 284 Munros (mountain over 3000 feet) so plenty to choose from.
The bagpipes are Scotland’s national instrument. Our favourite band who plays the bagpipes are the ‘Red Hot Chilli Pipers’. We also like other styles of music, including DJ music, pop and dance. I love listening to music, and so do all my friends.
Our country, Scotland, is by far the best country to live in. I love being Scottish. The people of Scotland are amazing. The things I have talked about are not all of the amazing things about Scotland. There are many more. Come and see for yourself.
