Loving Scotland is an easy thing. Scotland has lochs with the most beautiful calm shimmering waters surrounded by the most stunning scenery. Scotland has hills to climb and festivals to enjoy. Scotland has its own food and drink culture. Scotland has many things that you can enjoy, there is something for everyone. Who wouldn’t want to come and visit Scotland?
In Scotland you can find food and drink that you don’t really see anywhere outside of Scotland. Irn Bru is a very, very famous Scottish drink (it’s my personal favourite). If you do manage to find Irn Bru outside of Scotland it’s more expensive. Whisky is also a great Scottish drink. If you ever get a chance to drink whisky in Scotland you can enjoy it the way you should. Scotland is the place for Whisky. Scottish fudge puts a smile on my face. The sweetness makes me think I’m in a dream. Macaroon is also a sweat treat that Scotland makes to keep the smile on people faces. If you get a chance to try an Angus beef burger never say no. After one bite your mouth fills with the juices and flavours .The burger will be gone in two minutes.
In Scotland you can always see hills. The hills are such an amazing part of the scenery. If you climb a hill in Scotland (which you should) you feel great and you get a chance to see how magnificent Scotland is from up on a nature covered hill. Many people in Scotland take up hiking and hill walking because it is convenient and it’s a better way to see the Scottish nature.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is a great experience. I have gone for the past 3 years and have had great time. There is a variety of things to do, like going to comedy shows. There are shows for adults and shows for children. In the Fringe Festival there are many little festivals. Some of the festivals are food festivals, book festivals, music festivals and many more. Also in different areas there are places set up for something to eat and drink and relax in the sun. At the time of the festival there is usually a fair or two to have fun at. The festival definitely has something for everyone.
Scottish Lochs are truly amazing, the calm waters shimmering as the sun hits the surface. Loch Ness is a very famous Loch because of the story of the Loch Ness Monster. The Loch Ness Monster is a tale that is about a sea monster that lives in the water of the Loch. Many people visit Loch Ness to try to find the creature. There have supposedly been sightings of the monster, but people believe in the pictures it could be just bits of stick positioned to look like a monster in the water. Loch Lomond is a calm loch. The loch has a park, a sea life centre, shopping centre and a food area. Also at the loch there is a bit where you can go out on a hired rowing boat. Loch Lomond is a great destination for a family day out.
Scotland has had many famous people. For example, Robert Burns is a very famous poet and writer. He is so famous that every year on the 25th on January we celebrate him by having “Burns suppers” where haggis and whisky are served. William Wallace is a very famous Scottish knight and landowner who became one of the main leaders during the war of Scottish independence. Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish inventor he invented the telephone .Other inventors were Sir Alexander Fleming who discovered penicillin, John Logie Baird who invented television and William Murdoch who invented gas lighting.
Scotland has a lot of tourist attractions. The Falkirk wheel is a giant boat lift located in Falkirk. Edinburgh Castle is located on top of a hill in Edinburgh, it is a beautiful sight. Old Course at St Andrews is one of the oldest golf courses in the world. Glasgow is a tourist favourite for shopping. Arthur’s seat is an extinct volcano located in the heart of Edinburgh. It is a steep climb but the views are worth it (and there is an ice cream van at the bottom to treat yourself when you get back down).
Scotland is obviously an easy thing to love. I love Scotland. Scotland has the food and drink, the hills, the festivals, the Lochs, the attractions and much, more so who wouldn’t want to come to Scotland? What are you waiting for? Come and visit Scotland. You wouldn’t regret it.

Wow – you make Scotland sound like a FAB place (which of course it is!!!)
