What is Bagging?

Give your vacations, short breaks or holidays a sense of purpose by visiting and ‘Bagging’ Scotland’s Castles, Whisky Distilleries, Islands and Munros! Aim high and make it your life’s work to Bag Scotland’s 3,000(ish) Castles, or why not try to bag all of Scotland’s 95 inhabited Islands? By Bagging the 85 Malt Whisky Distilleries or 283 Munros (Mountains over 300ft), you’ll just happen to pass through some of Scotlands best scenery which is full of culture, history and heritage.

It’s simple, with Bagging Scotland.

If you sign up for a Bagger’s profile, the Bagging Scotland site will enable you to create your own blog, join groups, upload photos & videos to record your Bagging conquests, then share it with all your friends. If you’ve got a photo of you (and your granny) at the your Bagging destination (preferably a recognised landmark) then you’ve Bagged it!

Compete against others, find out the real truths about Scotland and socialise with fellow Baggers. By networking with other Baggers, and using our Bagging Map, you can then decide what you’d like to Bag next! Bagging is interactive, educational, organic, and above all, great fun.

Build up your own exciting Bagging ‘traveblog’, get advice from others, develop friendships with liked-minded people and help us succeed in our quest to be ‘The Saviours of Scottish Tourism’.
