@normski I have already booked into that campsite at Port Charlotte. I heard it was the best and near to Bruichladdich so that swung it for me. As for the beaches will most definitely be checking them all out…depending on the state I may be in after whisky bagging. Oh god, what have I let myself in for…4 days without my laptop! View

Ok, I have done some research and the general concensus is that the ‘back of four’ means 5 past 4. Is it a Scottish trait to be late? I hate having to wait for someone, however I now have an excuse to be totally ‘pished’ by the time any Scottish person turns up as I [...]

Ha ha, I like this blog Raquel. Also being a foreigner in Scotland…yes all the way from England, I still have communication issues. Us English aren’t supposed to like Scotland or Scottish people because of something or other that went off millions of light years ago. But I love it, and the ridiculous crap that [...]

Yes, those English, they come up here and steal our jobs. I think you’ll find that most of the best places in Scotland benefit from a ’foreign’ influence. If some Scots don’t like this, they need to wake up and smell the coffee. Which is improving in quality all the time!

OK, I am planning my trip to the Islay Festival in May and need advice on whether to slum it, B&B or something a bit more luxurious! Camp sites, B&B’s or hotels to recommend anyone…cycling, walking or just sitting in the pub drinking whisky??

Camping. You’ll not get a hotel anyway! Lots to do. Every Distillery has an open day, Tremendous fun.
