I am terrible with maps and also it’s hard to see where the different areas start/end. There are some really cute flats in Dennistoun but I am really leery about East End. (Red Road and all that.) hi, bet you’re really looking forward to moving to Glasgow, I did it twenty years ago and will be here forever. If you google “flats to let glasgow” you’ll get lots of agencies etc. For information on areas etc, they may be less than honest! But, I’m happy to help out here. I’ve confused you a bit i think. City centre is the hub and East end is the area stretching out from there to the east for many miles, but… Dennistoun is only a couple of miles from city centre. I can’t wait to get there with all that unrestricted access. I haven’t watched American Tv in a year. Everything is British cinema via Netflix or BBC iplayer or Radio Scotland. Y’all Scots have ruined me for my own country.

Hi Xeni, It’s a tough call knowing what to suggest literature wise as the possibilities are endless. Off the top of my head I would suggest Lanark by Alasdair Gray not just because it is considered a twentieth century masterpiece but because you are highly likely to bump into the Alasdair himself in your wanderings around the periphery of Glasgow…[Read more]
